Dezsoe Milutinovics, founder of M Custom Furniture, apprenticed in Hungary under a true woodworking master. Studying under an old-world teacher, honed Dezsoe’s skills and techniques as an artisan furniture builder. Following Dezsoe’s extensive woodworking training, he moved to Vienna where he developed specialized skills refurbishing antiques. The rare opportunity to study under two renowned European artisans forged Dezsoe’s passion for woodworking.
When Dezsoe arrived in America, Steelcase, one of the largest and most respected commercial furniture manufacturers in the nation, hired him to create all the prototypes for the company’s newly launched wood casegood line.
Dezsoe eventually launched his own furniture company in Northern California. Among his many high profile clients was then Governor Ronald Reagan who commissioned Dezsoe to build his home office furniture. In 1995, Dezsoe moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he and his son Gabor opened M Custom Furniture.
